Data mining is the techniques of extracting useful information from large and unorganized data banks. It is the process of performing automated exploration and producing predictive information from large databanks. It is the process of finding previously unknown patterns and trends in databases and using information to build predictive models. It enables us to understand the current market trends and enables us to take proactive measures to gain maximum benefit from the same. In this paper concept, various techniques of data mining, applications of data mining in marketing and various issues of data mining have been discussed and analyzed.
